Two women injured in Chelsea crash

CHELSEA — Two women were injured a car crash that was reported at 2:05 p.m. Thursday on Town House Road, police said.
Driver Stephanie Haskell, 35, of Augusta, and front seat passenger April Austin, 25, of Chelsea, were both taken to a hospital by Augusta Rescue with what appeared to be minor injuries, according to Sgt. Michael Pion, of the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office.
A child in the rear seat was uninjured, he said.
Pion said Haskell’s minivan was traveling too fast for conditions, slid off the road and struck a utility pole head-on.
