FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington announces the following free events:
* International/Exchange: Chinese New Year Festival will begin at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the North Dining Hall C, UMF Olsen Student Center.. Participants can join in celebrating this Chinese New Year of the Dragon by sampling food, join or observe a game of Xiang Qi or Mahjong, and view Chinese television. * International/Exchange: African Film: “Le Grand Blanc de Lambarene” is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the Landing, UMF Olsen Student Center. Satire on the life and works of Dr. Albert Schweitzer. The event, open to the public, is sponsored by Office of International and Exchange Programs. * International/Exchange: Chinese Tea Ceremony will begin at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 at the North Dining Hall A, UMF Olsen Student Center. Participants can experience a Chinese Tea Ceremony with visiting Chinese scholars and students. For more information, email leustis@maine.edu or call 778-7122.
