WATERVILLE — Local state representatives remind students planning to attend college in the fall of the importance of filing the 2012-13 Free Application for Federal Student Aid form soon. All Maine students and families are invited to attend College Goal Maine at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Waterville Senior High School for assistance in completing the form.
Financial aid professionals will provide coaching staff to walk individuals through the application line-by-line and to answer questions regarding state and federal financial aid programs. Attendees should bring copies of their most recent tax information.
Individuals hoping to qualify for financial aid must complete and submit the form. Deadlines for filing the form vary from school to school, and students should carefully consult the deadlines of every school to which they are applying. Online forms and more information are available at fafsa.ed.gov.
