VASSALBORO — Selectmen are scheduled to meet Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Town Office.

Items on the agenda include a review of bids on the tax-acquired property at 159 Cushnoc Road and a possible decision on selling the land; a discussion with transfer station manager George Hamar on ways to improve the swap shed program; discussion and possible adoption of revisions to the personnel handbook approved late in 2011; renewal of the liquor license for Natanis Golf Course; and consideration of terms and procedures to renew the alewife harvester contract.

The meeting will end after an executive session to discuss an abatement request.

RSU 12 hearing set for Monday

SOMERVILLE– Sheepscot Valley Regional School Unit 12 will host a public discussion at 6:30 p.m. Monday, in the Somerville Elementary School gymnasium to discuss the superintendent’s proposal to move the remaining kindergarten through fifth grade students in Somerville Elementary School to Windsor Elementary School next year.

The proposal also includes closing both administrative offices — the central office and the special education office — and moving the secondary Alt Ed (North) Program to the Somerville Elementary School site.
