AUGUSTA — The Kennebec Valley YMCA and a team of singers from Maine-ly Harmony Chorus will hold classes in four-part harmony a cappella barbershop-style singing at the Augusta YMCA facility, with the goal of further expanding the KVYMCA Youth Chorus.

Classes will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, in the Augusta Campus Board Room. Students ages 10-18 are invited to try the unique style of harmony singing. Participants can learn songs such as “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from “The Lion King.” Students can learn to read music and achieve vocal improvement.

To register, call 622-9622, or visit the YMCA at 31 Union St. The classes are free for YMCA members and $25 for non-members. To ask for assistance with the fee, contact Maine-ly Harmony team member Lea Davis at 622-1273 or email leadavis@roadrunner.com.
