WATERVILLE — “I Hate Hamlet,” by Paul Rudnick, directed by Sumner Hayward, ACAT in Waterville. Roles for three women in their 20s-70s and three men in their 20s-40s.

Auditions will be cold readings from the script at 10:30 a.m. Sunday and at 6 p.m Monday in the Third Floor Dance Studio of the Stearns Center, 93 Main St.

Lakewood Theater

MADISON — Auditions for the 112th season of Lakewood Theater will begin this month. This season, organizers will offer one mystery/comedy, two dramedies, two farces, two comedies and two musicals.

The theater company will offer nine main stage productions with parts for 64 men, 60 women and 10 youth.

The season will offer “Pageant Play,” May 24-June 2; “Enchanted April,” June 7-16; “9 to 5 The Musical,” June 21-30; “And the Winner Is,” July 5-14; “The Fox on the Fairway,” July 19-28; “The Music Man,” Aug. 2-11; “Murdered to Death,” Aug. 16-25; “The House of Blue Leaves,” Aug. 30-Sept. 8; “Who Goes Bare,” Sept. 13-22.

Auditions, callbacks and first call will all be held at the Margaret Chase Smith School on Heselton Street in Skowhegan.

Musical auditions for “9 to 5 The Musical” and “The Music Man” will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 17 and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 18.

Actors auditioning for singing roles in the musicals who have not auditioned for Lakewood Theater before should bring a prepared song and sheet music. A ballad or upbeat number is preferred. If music is not available, organizers will teach a song. Those interested in lead musical roles who have not been in a lead role at Lakewood should be prepared to sing a solo. An accompanist will be provided or actors may bring their own.

Auditions for all straight plays will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 24 and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 25.

Actors will meet individually with each director on a first-come basis for cold readings. Those who have appeared at Lakewood and would be satisfied with any role, do not have to attend, notify the theater, and one will be assigned.

Callbacks will be Saturday, March 31. First call will be Saturday, April 7.
