WATERVILLE — The Battle of the Badges benefit basketball game has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Alfond Youth Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Local police and firefighters will compete in the fourth annual benefit basketball game.

There will be free raffle of basketballs throughout the game, a halftime relay race with Flagship Cinema gift cards as prizes, a 50/50 raffle and a Cappza’s Pizza 50/50 Halftime Shootout. Firefighters and police representatives from Waterville, Winslow, Oakland and surrounding towns will compete in the event.

Proceeds will benefit youth programs offered at the South End Teen Center of Waterville, such as work ready skills, alcohol and drug prevention programs, the Teen Star volunteer corp, and traditional recreational activities that include cooking, crafts and summer blast trips.

Tickets cost $5 for adults, free for children 10 and younger. Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling 873-5621.
