ANSON — School Administrative District 74/ Regional School Unit 74, will hold kindergarten screening for children of Anson, Embden, New Portland or Solon entering kindergarten in the fall. Children must be five years of age on or before Oct. 15.
The screening tool used will be the Developmental Indicators for the Assessment of Learning. Testing will be administered individually by a team of teachers on a variety of tasks. The information is used only to assist educators to develop the best program.
Screenings, by appointment only, will be Tuesday, April 10, at Garrett Schenck School in Anson or Wednesday, April 11, at the Solon Elementary School in Solon. Screenings take approximately one hour per child.
