BELGRADE — Elementary students were moved to the community center after the report of a bomb threat.

A state police dispatcher said the call came in at around 12:30 p.m. today.

About 350 Belgrade Elementary School students were brought by bus to the Belgrade Community Center for All Seasons.

State police said the principal called police after finding a note inside the school this morning. The bomb squad brought in dogs to search the school building.

A staff person at the RSU 18 superintendent’s office said the children were all fine. She said they would be dismissed at their regular time.

State police and the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office along with Belgrade fire and rescue were at the scene.
