FARMINGTON — The Upper Kennebec Valley Chapter of the Small Woodlands Owners Association of Maine and the Maine Forest Service will host a program on estate planning from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Farmington Town Office.

Featured speaker will be Linda Russell, an attorney with Oxford Hills Law in South Paris, who specializes in estate planning, probate and real estate law.

Participants can learn about estate planning with timberland: wills, trusts, powers of attorney, titling of assets, beneficiary designations, and the creation of different types of entities. If there is interest, other possible topics include current federal and state estate, gift and other tax issues; basis rules; conservation easements; consideration for needed support of owner, surviving spouse, or minor children.

This event is free and open to the public. Bring questions, or forward them in advance to patty.cormier@maine.gov or call 592-2238.
