FARMINGDALE — American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course will be offered on April 17 at Child Care Options, 337 Maine Ave.

Participants, age 11 to 15, will learn how to stay safe and make smart decisions while babysitting through hands-on activities, a video, role-plays and discussion. The course is led by Heather Washburn.

The class takes place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a half hour lunch break. Students should bring a bag lunch.

The cost is $50. Space is limited and registration is required.
