AUGUSTA — Friends of the Maine State Museum will continue its annual series of talks and programs, “Highlights at the Maine State Museum,” with two events at the museum.

David Richards, interim director of the University of Maine Margaret Chase Smith Library in Skowhegan, will present an illustrated talk, “Milton Bradley and the Checkered Game of Life,” about the life of Maine native Milton Bradley. The talk begins at 6:30 p.m. today and is free of charge.

The museum will display board games from its collections. Attendees are invited to bring their own Milton Bradley Company games to show during the evening.

A performance by the Maine Squeeze Accordion Ensemble will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday. Admission is free of charge to both the performance and the museum.

The six members of the Maine Squeeze have entertained audiences at festivals, fairs and concert venues statewide. The group features a repertoire of popular and eclectic music from around the world.
