WATERVILLE — The Two-Cent Bridge at Head of Falls will close Monday for repair work expected to continue until the end of June, according to Assistant City Engineer John Lombardi.
Lombardi said the bridge will open temporarily around the first of June for a trail-related event.
Work on the bridge will include replacement of wind cables, including welding and support member replacement; removal and replacement of all hand rails, riverbank to riverbank; and installation of trail signs.
The bridge spans the Kennebec River between Waterville and Winslow.
