College hears World Bank chief

UNITY — The president of the World Bank Group visited Unity College on Friday to talk about the bank’s work to improve economic conditions in developing countries, but was interrupted by some people in the audience opposed to the bank’s large structure and reach.

Turkey dinner to be held at Muskie

WATERVILLE — Spectrum Generation Muskie Center and Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will host a turkey dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 27, at the Muskie Community Center, 38 Gold St. to benefit their programs. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger.
