State senators and representatives are part-time employees who are unlike other hard working part-time and full-time employees struggling to feed their families.
Legislators are different because they get full medical and dental health care benefits that are not available to thousands of other Maine part-time and full-time employees.
More reprehensible is the fact that many of these elected officials who consider themselves to be conservative would vote against any health care provision to assist working men and women to get the same health care benefits they enjoy.
Recently, they voted to eliminate the health care benefits of thousands of Maine citizens formerly on MaineCare.
Apparently, these legislators think it is more “conservative” to cut the heath care benefits of others while safeguarding their own taxpayer-funded health care coverage.
There oughta be a law!
