RICHMOND — Richmond has 10 candidates running for five offices with an opening remaining for the Budget Committee.
Each candidate been invited to participate in Enterprise Grange 48 annual Meet the Local Candidates night on Wednesday at the Grange Community Room, 15 Alexander Reed Road, starting at 6:30 p.m. At 7, the candidates will have the opportunity to explain why they are running for office. Dana Sullivan will be moderator and there will be time for questions.

Palermo Days committee to meet
PALERMO — The Palermo Days Committee will meet at the 6:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Town Office.
Randolph office closed Election Day
RANDOLPH — The Randolph Town Office will be closed for business on Tuesday, June 12, for the primary election. The polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Office.
The Town Office will also be closed on Friday, June 29, for the year end closing of the books. Any questions, call 582-5808.
Girl Scout exhibit opens at museum
AUGUSTA — The Maine State Museum is preparing to host a special exhibit, “Girl Scouts: Celebrating One Hundred Years.”
Produced in partnership with Girl Scouts of Maine, the exhibit will be open to the public from June 23 through Aug. 31. On display will be vintage period uniforms, pins, patches, ephemeras, cookie merchandise, camping gear, and many other novelty items.
Opening day festivities are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 23. There will be free admission to the museum that day.
The museum education staff is also creating a special scavenger hunt that makes use of the Girl Scout objects on display as well as artifacts in the museum.
