AUGUSTA — A 33-year-old Augusta man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Kennebec County Superior Court to a charge of possession of sexually explicit materials of a minor under 12.

Kenney L. White was sentenced to five years in jail, with all but one year suspended, and two years of probation.

He also was order to register as a 10-year registrant under the state’s Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.

The offense occurred Nov. 3, 2010, in Augusta.

A number of people were sentenced recently in separate hearings in Kennebec County Superior Court:

* Abraham Adams, 35, of Skowhegan, disorderly conduct, offensive words and gestures Feb. 28 in Augusta; $500 fine.
