BELGRADE — Belgrade Regional Conservation Alliance recently announced the following Lecture Series events starting today:

* Crayfish lecture with Matthew Scott of Belgrade at 7 p.m. today at the Maine Lakes Resource Center, 137 Main St. Scott is a retired Maine Deputy Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife of 38 years.

* Dam Removal on the Penobscot lecture by Charles Baeder at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at the Maine Lakes Resource Center, 137 Main St.

* Bear rehabilitator, Dawn Brown, from Second Chance Wildlife, Inc. will lecture about Maine bears at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at the Maine Lakes Resource Center, 137 Main St.

* Esker Hike will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 11. Participants will meet at the Belgrade Community Center for All Seasons. Take a Geology Hike with Mel Croft to see the Eskers and learn how they were formed during the warming climate after the last Ice Age.

BRCA conserves the lands, water quality and natural heritage of the Belgrade Lakes Watershed.
