BINGHAM — The Upper Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and the town recently announced Bingham Bicentennial festivities are set for July 21-29.

* Kick off of the nine-day festival is set for Saturday, July 21. For a list of activities, visit binghammaine.org

* The third annual River Festival will start Friday, July 27. There will be crafters at the Bingham Motor Inn and Sports Complex. Space is available for $35. For more information, call 672-4191 or 612-8476 or 672-3502.

* A fishing derby will begin at dawn Saturday, July 28, on Wyman Lake. There will be a raffle, for children 16 and younger, for a chance to win a Maine resident youth life-time fishing license. Tickets for the derby cost $5, raffle tickets cost $1 each.

* Following the parade, there will be the Duckee Derby Race in Austin Stream. First place prize will be $250, second place is $150 and third place is $100. Duckees are on sale for $5 each or a flock of 12 for $50.
