NORTH NEW PORTLAND — On April 28th, 2012, a celebration of 50 years of marriage was held for Dale and Gloria Walker of North New Portland. On that same date in 1962, a love-struck couple took their vows and they have been a shining example of true love ever since.
They were married at St. Sebastian’s Church in Madison. They began their life together in North New Portland and continue to reside there today.
The family party was held at Miss Kelly’s Learning Loft. A delicious luncheon was catered by the Snack Shack and the cake was made by The Bankery. A heartfelt speech was given by their Best Man Richard Parker.
Together, they are the parents of two wonderful daughters, Darcy Ollivier and Kelly York both of Skowhegan. They have one son-in-law Dean York, five grandsons, two granddaughters, one granddaughter-to-be and twin great-granddaughters so far.
Best wishes for continued love and joy were expressed by all. After the celebration they went and enjoyed a night’s stay in Bangor at The Courtyard.
