BELGRADE LAKES — Waterville artist Matthew Russ will be featured in an exhibit and artist’s talk to benefit the Maine Lakes Resource Center on Main Street. The art will be on exhibit July 1-22 at the center, the talk and reception will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 8.

Russ is a Maine landscape painter, and will exhibit recent work from the Kennebec Highlands area. A 1996 graduate of Colby College, he draws inspiration from the landscape of the Kennebec Highlands, where he paints in the field all year, often backpacking into remote sites to paint.
