Niece is acting more like a vulture

Dear Annie: My father and mother were both sick and only weeks away from dying when my niece went to my father’s bedside and asked if she could have his house when he “didn’t need it anymore.” She made sure that her mother was with her to witness the question and answer.

School supply drive in Waterville July 1

WATERVILLE — DoSomething.org and Staples have teamed up with teen actress and recording artist Bella Thorne, for the fifth annual Staples for Students national school supply drive, to help children in need. The drive encourages Waterville children to collect school supplies and drop them off at their nearest Staples store July 1 through Sept. 15.

Support group to begin June 28

WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will offer a monthly support group through the summer for parents who have experienced the death of a child through illness or unexpectedly. The first meeting will be 6-8 p.m. today at the Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area Community Center. Meetings are free.

Pre-med man might be dead end

I met this guy a few weeks ago, and we’ve been hanging out ever since. He says he has real feelings for me and is attracted to me, but that he can’t have a relationship because of his future in med school. Not that I necessarily want a relationship right now, but should I even continue dating him if he already has the end in mind, or should I go for it, live in the moment and see where it goes?
