Ranger’s body remains on Mount Rainier

SEATTLE — The National Park Service sent more rangers to Mount Rainier National Park to help recover the body of a colleague who fell to his death during a rescue operation, but it could be mid-week before anyone can reach the site, a spokeswoman said Monday.

U.S. Cellular to launch school fundraiser

U.S. Cellular recently announced that its Calling All Communities campaign will return in September. The program challenges schools to rally community support for the chance to win a share of $1 million to fund projects students need the most. The school that garners the most community votes will win $150,000 with the next 17 schools receiving $50,000. Schools are encouraged to use the summer months to start building their campaigns.
