RANGELEY — Saddleback Ski Resort recently announced its Summer Artist’s Workshop Series with the first workshop scheduled Monday through Thursday, July 9-12. The workshops will be conducted by award winning, internationally renowned artists and will involve intensive and focused studio time, according to a news release.

The classes will be held in Saddleback Base Lodge. The lodge will remain open in the evening for students to be able to continue working on their projects and to socialize with other participants.

Scheduled workshops are:

* Monday-Thursday: The Marriage of Surface and Form using Polymer Clays. A four-day workshop in polymer clays by artists Bonnie Bishoff and Melanie West. Basic knowledge of how to work with polymer clays is needed.

* Friday: Rock Cuff Class with Melanie Muir. A one-day class in polymer jewelry by artist Melanie Muir, who is coming all the way from Scotland to show how to make “Rock Cuff.”

* Aug. 20-21: Learn the Magic! An introduction to Precious Metal Clays. Two days of step-by-step demonstrations on how to create pendants and earnings with precious metal clay silver.
