LISBON FALLS — Maine’s annual festival that pays homage to the quirky Moxie soft drink is wrapping up in Lisbon Falls.

The three-day Moxie Festival ends today with a car show, the Chief Worumbo Androscoggin River Race and other events.

The festival, now in its 30th year, draws tens of thousands of visitors each year to pay tribute to the bittersweet soda that was concocted by a Mainer in the 1870s. Moxie is Maine’s official soft drink.

The event features a parade, a running race, a carnival, music, food, Moxie memorabilia and a Moxie chugging contest.
