WINTHROP — CODA Chorus has announced its new musical director and accompanist.

Joelle Morris will serve as musical director. Morris is a singer, actor, choir conductor and voice teacher. She has a master’s of music degree in vocal performance and pedagogy from the Lamont Conservatory in Denver, Colo., and a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Colorado in Boulder.

She recently performed in the world premiere of Domenico Clapasson’s Il Pellegrino dell’assoluto for soprano, choir and orchestra. While living in France for the past seven years, she has taught voice and vocal pedagogy both in her private studio and in music schools in France.

Arthur Hosford will serve as accompanist. Hosford received a music degree summa cum laude from the Hartt School of Music in Connecticut, where he majored in piano. He has studied organ, taught privately and in schools and has directed and accompanied for many years both in Vermont and Maine. He is currently the director of music at the Wiscasset Congregational Church. He lives in Augusta with his wife Kate and son Arthur III.
