BRUNSWICK — Two men have been charged and authorities are investigating what they say appeared to be an illegal gambling operation in Brunswick.
The Times Record reports that state police holding a search warrant raided a building earlier this month and found about 10 people involved in gambling.
Sgt. Michael Zabarsky said troopers seized cash, poker chips, playing cards and a surveillance camera inside a gaming room.
Authorities later issued summons to 31-year-old Christopher Moulton and his brother, 29-year-old Dennis Moulton, on charges of unlawful gaming.
Zabarsky said the probe was continuing into the alleged gambling that may have been going on for months.
Christopher Moulton told the newspaper that there was more to the story than has been disclosed so far and that he’s hired lawyers to defend him.
