AUGUSTA — Operation Homefront, a national non-profit that provides emergency financial and other assistance to military families and Wounded Warriors, is collecting school supplies for military kids.

The local collection site of the annual Back-to-School Brigade program is the Dollar Store, Capital Shopping Center, 152 Western Ave., Suite 2, Augusta.

The supplies will be distributed to the children of service members at the beginning of the school year, according to a press release from the organization’s New England Office.
