ANSON — Three people were arrested Sunday less than 10 hours after they allegedly stole copper pipes from an unoccupied home.

Joshua Vincent, 28, and Genevieve King, 34, were arrested on charges of burglary and theft. Leon King, 31, was arrested on a charge of probation violation, according to a press release from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.

Truck parts theftslead to three arrests

ATHENS — Two men and a juvenile were arrested over the weekend for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of truck parts and selling them for scrap.

Benjamin Polion, 19, Dustin Marcue, 18, and a 17-year-old boy were each arrested on felony theft charges, according to a news release from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday, police received a report of theft from Horse Logging Company, on Main Street. Truck axles, gears, hydraulic pumps and other parts were stolen, the release states.

Investigators recovered some of the parts at Kennebec Metals of Skowhegan, where they had been sold.
