AUGUSTA — State environmental regulators voted Thursday to move forward with consideration of new rules that would further limit the sale of products containing the chemical bisphenol-A, which some scientists have linked to learning disabilities in children.

A story on page B2 Thursday should have said that Charles Raymond Bellows was convicted of aggravated assault for striking a victim in the back with a board in Waterville last April. The victim also was stabbed during the assault, but Bellows was not charged with that offense. It was a reporter’s error.
