AUGUSTA — Rita Lachance and C. J. Stevens are planning a September 22, 2012, wedding at St. Augustine Church in Augusta.

Rita is from Augusta. She retired from teaching mathematics at Waterville Senior High School and is now a mathematics instructor at the University of Maine in Augusta.

C. J. is from Phillips, Maine, and Surfside Beach, S.C. He is the author of numerous books including biographies, fictions, poetry, and Maine mining books.

The reception will be held at the Augusta Civic Center.
