AUGUSTA — Registration is open for Friends of Maine Libraries Conference set for Oct. 1 at the Senator Inn on Western Avenue.
Jamie Ritter, current director of Information and Reader Services at the Maine State Library, will be keynote speaker.
The conference will also feature Maine State Library librarian Linda Lord and former Maine first lady and Maine Library Commission member Karen Baldacci.
Two winners of $1,000 grant awards will be announced.
