SKOWHEGAN — Kevin and Shelby Nelson of Skowhegan have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Nelson to Derek Downing, son of Timothy and Lili Downing of Smithfield.
Jessica is a graduate student in the Occupational Therapy Program at Husson University. She plans to graduate in May 2013 with a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Derek is a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono with a bachelor’s degree in New Media and a minor in Innovation Engineering. He is employed at Duratherm Window in Vassalboro.
A Sept. 14, 2013, wedding is planned.
