Business breakfast set for Sept. 13

WATERVILLE — The next Business Breakfast presented by Thomas College, in partnership with the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, will host Alexandra Heseltine, owner of Gray Cat Marketing & Design. The presentation will be held 7:30 – 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, in the Spann Commons Oak Room on Thomas College’s campus at 180 West River Road.

Hamm takes stage for Meals on Wheels

WATERVILLE — Maine-based comedian George Hamm will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Waterville Elks, 76 Industrial Drive. Doors open at 7p.m. The fundraising event will benefit central Maine’s Meals on Wheels Program which is provided by Spectrum Generations.

Grief support will be offered in Skowhegan

SKOWHEGAN — Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County, Inc. will offer several grief support groups beginning Wednesday at its office at 41 Main St. There is no cost to attend and all meetings are confidential. Each group will meet for 6-8 sessions.

Golf tournament to benefit Future MSAD3

BROOKS — The ninth annual Mt View Golf Tournament at Country View Golf Club will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday with a shotgun start at the Brooks facility. Team fees include continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf, golf cart, lunch and prizes.
