LEWISTON — Lewiston police are looking for a suspect in a stabbing in the city.

Police say the victim was found stabbed in a Bartlett Street apartment just after 5 p.m. Wednesday after getting a call from the victim’s roommate.

The 41-year-old man was unresponsive when police and rescue crews arrived. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where he was listed in stable but serious condition late Wednesday night.

His name was not immediately made public.

The Sun Journal reports that one man was questioned by detectives at the station Wednesday night but police did not say if he was a witness or a potential suspect.

Investigators said they have leads in the case and an arrest is expected.
