PITTSFIELD — Fire crews from several communities responded early Saturday to a report of a structure fire on Middle Street in Pittsfield. The fire was called in at 12:26 a.m.

Firefighters from Pittsfield, Newport, Skowhegan, Hartland, St. Albans and Detroit were dispatched to the blaze. Sebasticook Valley Ambulance was sent to the scene as was Detroit Rescue. Someone was taken to the hospital, according to dispatch log at the Somerset County Regional Communi-cations Center in Skowhegan.

Fire crews were on the scene for several hours, with Pittsfield firefighters not clearing the scene until after 6:30 a.m. Fire chiefs from the area could not be reached Saturday for details.

IN ANSON, Friday at 6:09 p.m., a report of threatening was investigated on High Street.

8:30 p.m., a report of vandalism was investigated on Elm Street.

IN CARATUNK, Friday at 10:16 a.m., suspicious activity was reported on U.S. Route 201.

7:33 p.m., the first of several complaints of fireworks was received from North Street, West Street and Western Avenue.

8:15 p.m., police made an arrest following a motor vehicle stop on Skowhegan Road.

11:01 p.m., Thomas Schanz, 34, of Waterville, arrested on Oak Street on a charge of violating the conditions of release.

Saturday, 12:40 a.m., Corey Bailey, 24, of Boxborough, Mass., arrested on Temple Street on a charge of operating under the influence.
