BURNHAM — The extended Mosher family congratulates David and Marion Mosher for celebrating their 50th year in love as husband and wife. The Moshers were married June 2, 1962, in the Hinckley Chapel and have shared a half-century of love and friendship. The couple repeated their honeymoon in June by returning to the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City for the first time since their nuptials.

The couple has raised five children and now enjoys the blessing of 11 grandchildren.

When asked their secret to being happily married for 50 years, Dave responded comically with, “We immediately had four children one year apart before we knew what was causing it! Then by the time we figured it out we had no choice but to rely on each other to survive.” Marion added on a more serious note that they have tried to get along by not arguing about the little things and to support each other always.

Mrs. Mosher was employed at Sebasticook Valley Hospital. Mr. Mosher taught school for 25 years at Maine Central Institute and is owner of Sugarfoot Kennel.

Their many friends and family members will attest that their marriage remains the romance of a lifetime and an example for all that love, teamwork, faith and commitment remain the center stones of a happy married life.
