MANCHESTER, N.H. — A woman says she used her walker to fight off a man who invaded her home in Manchester, N.H.
Candace Neal has been using the walker as she deals with complications from diabetes and an operation on her foot. She told the police the man entered her home on Sunday and had a knife. She and a friend fought him off.
The 50-year-old Neal told WMUR-TV that she hit the man with her walker, saying it was her last line of defense. In spite of that, her purse containing cash and prescription drugs was still missing after the incident.
Police said they are looking for the man.
