When I think of leaders I most admire, they all have one thing in common — they understand that it’s not what they bring to every endeavor that matters; it’s what they leave behind.

Such is the case with Matt Pouliot, Republican candidate for House District 57.

Pouliot has distinguished himself as a hard-working leader with a record of dedicated service and accomplishment for the betterment of Augusta.

Pouliot has defied the trend of young people leaving Maine for opportunities elsewhere, and I am confident that he will use his experience to help others do the same.

This election provides a crisp contrast between the status quo and new ideas, and there is a clear choice between a stale, inside political view and a fresh, outside perspective.

That’s why I am voting for Pouliot. I hope others will join me.
