AUGUSTA — O. Troy Stevens, 38, of Windsor, was sentenced Tuesday to two years in jail with all but 60 days suspended and two years of probation.

A jury in Kennebec County Superior Court on Friday convicted him of domestic violence assault but cleared him of a separate charge of criminal mischief.

A judge had set a sentencing hearing for Tuesday.

According to the indictment, the offense occurred Aug. 1, 2011, in Windsor.

Stevens’ attorney, William Baghdoyan, said Tuesday he was asking that Stevens be freed pending appeal and that he had requested a new trial.
