CHELSEA — A search Monday night for a runaway boy ended with his safe return.
Maine State Trooper Eric Verhille said the boy was reported missing around 3 p.m. He was found around safe around 6:30 p.m. Verhille did not know the boy’s age and additional details about the incident were not available.
Corp. John MacDonald of the Maine Warden Service said wardens assisted with the search. He said the boy had run away.
The boy reportedly ran away from his home on Mud Mill Road.

Police responded to a home alarm on Sylvan Way. Police determined the alarm sounded when an item fell in the furnace room.

Police were called to Waterville Road for a 911 hang-up. Police learned from the homeowner that the land line had been disconnected but the number had been left in service. The homeowner told police that a similar 911 error had occurred in the past.

Police responded to a harassment complaint on Huntington Hill Road. The caller had a protection from abuse order against her neighbor. Part of that order prohibits the neighbor from harassing the caller’s employees. Police are investigating.

A 26-year-old Belgrade woman was charged with operating after suspension during a traffic stop for speeding on Interstate 295. It was the third time the woman has been charged with operating after suspension.

A 20-year-old Gorham man was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol by a minor and speeding during a traffic stop on Lewiston Road.

A 41-year-old man was charged with possession of a usable amount of marijuana during a traffic stop for an inspection violation on Route 17.
