WATERVILLE — Children at the Alfond Center, with the help of North End Boys and Girls Club Unit Director Steve Aucoin, had the opportunity to learn about gardening this summer from seeds to produce. Using funding provided through a grant to Sustain Mid Maine Coalition from the New England Grassroots Environmental Fund and supplemental funding from the Nickelodeon Fund, participants watched a garden go from a box of soil to a productive vegetable patch.

BINGHAM — A craft fair and luncheon is planned for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bingham Grange, School Street. Crafters are needed. Table rental cost $15. To reserve a spot, call 431-5280.
