Gardeners see project from seed to produce
WATERVILLE — Children at the Alfond Center, with the help of North End Boys and Girls Club Unit Director Steve Aucoin, had the opportunity to learn about gardening this summer from seeds to produce. Using funding provided through a grant to Sustain Mid Maine Coalition from the New England Grassroots Environmental Fund and supplemental funding from the Nickelodeon Fund, participants watched a garden go from a box of soil to a productive vegetable patch.
