Ringel earns recognition
BIDDEFORD — Julia Ringel, freshmen at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, was recently recognized at the annual White Coat Ceremony held in Portland. Students were recognized for their transition from lay students to physicians.

WATERVILLE — The Waterville non-sanctioned bridge club winners on Thursday were: Connie Fedorovich and Paul Leberman, Betty Perry and Judy Jones, Ginny Kelly and Francis Roy, Connie Hallee and Flo Fortin, Sylvia Palmer and Jackie Gamache, Mike Gosseline and Claudette McNeil.
Library benefits from Day of Caring
WILTON — Five representatives of the Franklin County Retired Educators recently met at the Goodspeed Public Library to make a difference for Wilton families. The group washed windows, cleaned the bathroom, tables, workspaces and almost all the bookshelves. The project involved moving the books, washing and drying the shelves, then replacing the books in the correct order.
Oakland’s Linehan completes program
Patrick R. Linehan of Oakland, a Modern Woodmen of America representative, recently completed a five-day educational program at Modern Woodmen’s home office in Rock Island, Ill.

Cornville’s Whittemore earns dean’s list status
CHARLESTON, S.C. — Kylie Whittemore was recently named to the dean’s list in her first trimester at the Art Institute of Charleston, majoring in photographic imaging.
Rothschild earns doctorate degree
PHILLIPS — Nathaniel Amos Rothschild recently graduated from Boston University with a doctor of philosophy in English literature.
