WATERVILLE — Carla Olson Gade has announced the release of two debut novels.

Her first novel, “The Shadow Catcher’s Daughter,” was launched in February through one of Harlequin’s inspirational romance lines, according to a news release. Her second book, “Colonial Courtships” (Barbour Publishing), was released in October along with her novella, “Carving a Future.”

“Pattern for Romance” (Abingdon Fiction) and “Mistletoe Memories” (Barbour Publishing), two other novels, are scheduled for release next year.

A native New Englander, Gade has been imagining stories most of her life. Her love for writing and eras gone by turned her attention to writing inspirational historical romance. Prior to becoming a fiction author, Gade worked as a web and graphic designer for 12 years, and for Literacy Volunteers of Waterville for four years.
