LAKELAND, Fla. — David and Linda Damon of Lakeland, Fla. recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Beachmere Inn in Ogunquit, Maine. The arrangements were made by daughters Arlene and April.
Mr. Damon and the former Linda Proctor were married July 28, 1962 in Lorimer Chapel, Colby College, Waterville, Maine by the Rev. Benjamin Tibbets.
Mrs. Damon was the owner for 33 years of a Daycare Nursery School and a daycare on Sanger Avenue in Waterville.
Mr. Damon was employed by Chinet Company (Keyes Fibre) as a manager in the machine shop. He is now a self-employed consultant for machinery and travels worldwide.
The couple have three children Arlene O’Rourke and husband Kelly of Portland, Maine, John Damon of Brunswick, Maine, and April Butler and husband Bryan of Gray, Maine; eight grandchildren Calvin Damon, Sara Damon, David Butler and wife Danielle, Joshua “Josh” Damon, Shannon “Shai” O’Rourke, Christina Damon, Mary O’Rourke, Bryanna “Brie” Butler, and a great-grandson due March 2013, Camden Butler.
Guests attended from Vermont, Massachusetts and Maine.
