DEXTER — Our Lady’s Kitchen, a volunteer effort that offers free meals at St. Anne Church’s parish hall, recently received a $1,000 pledge from Fairfield’s Plum Creek Timber Company.

In the past year, the organization has served nearly 5,000 meals, aided by nearly 50 regular volunteers.

Much of the food has been donated by parish and community members, including food grown in gardens.

Meals are provided at noon each Sunday at 60 Free St. All are welcome.
