    Open house set to honor community

    SKOWHEGAN -- The University of Maine Margaret Chase Smith Library will hold its annual open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Riverside Ringers will provide entertainment at 2:30 p.m. and refreshments will be provided by the Bakery. Attendees are asked to bring canned goods to help stock the food cupboards of the Halycon House shelter for teenagers and receive a complimentary book about Senator Smith.

    Clinton organizations invited to holiday event

    CLINTON -- The Clinton Seniors Christmas Dinner has been funded by the Clinton Lions Club and prepared by the Clinton Evening Extension for the past 10 years. In the past, members of the Clinton Area Senior Citizens Club were also invited to the dinner at Clinton Brown Memorial Church. This year, the Lions Club will not host a Christmas dinner.
