SKOWHEGAN — A daughter, Amelia Marie Folsom, was born at 8:20 p.m. June 26 to David and Bobbi Folsom of Skowhegan. She weighed eight pounds and measured 21 3/4 inches in length.

SKOWHEGAN — The Skowhegan Rotary Club will host its 28th Lobster Bake 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, under a large tent downtown and will celebrate the club’s 90th birthday in conjunction with River Fest 2012.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Michael Tozier of Waterville was recently named to the 2012 spring semester dean’s list at Washington University. Tozier is enrolled in the university’s College of Arts & Sciences.

FARMINGTON — Franklin Savings Bank’s Community Development Foundation recently awarded scholarships to local students. The scholarships are $3,000 each.

PITTSFIELD — Children up to five years old can explore the night sky during story time at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Pittsfield Public Library. Book Buddies for ages six-12 will meet for buddy reading and activities from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
