Winslow’s Veilleux earns scholarship

FREEPORT — Darren Veilleux of Winslow was recently awarded a scholarship by The Maine Innkeepers Education Foundation, affiliated with the Maine Innkeepers Association at the eighth annual Tees & Textbooks event, at the Senator Inn and SPA in Augusta.

Free food programset to begin Monday

Winslow and Waterville public schools, Vassalboro Community School and Regional School Unit 18 will participate in a summer meals program for children. Free breakfast and lunch will be offered to children 18 years old or younger beginning Monday and ending Friday, Aug. 10.

Antique Tractor event starts today

FARMINGTON — The Maine Antique Tractor Club’s annual Tractor Festival will be at 8 a.m. today through Sunday at the Farmington Fair Grounds. The featured tractor at the event will be the Minneapolis Moline. Gate admission cost $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 11-17 and free for children 10 and younger.
