350 Maine celebrates fossil fuel divestment
UNITY — Unity College is the first school in the United States to divest from fossil fuels, according to a news release. This means none of the college’s investments have ties to the fossil fuel industry.

FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington was recently awarded a Moss Hart Memorial Award by the New England Theatre Conference — New England’s oldest and largest regional theatre association — for its March 2012 Theatre UMF production of Bruce Graham’s “Coyote on a Fence.”

Military families get help at fundraiser
AUGUSTA — The Kennebec County Republican Party fundraising dinner was recently held at Francesca’s Restaurant in Hallowell. The dinner raised $850 for needy military families of Maine Marines, soldiers and sailors who are disabled, deployed, or unemployed upon their return home. Proceeds raised will help provide food, clothing, fuel assistance and toys for the children of 88 military families needing help to provide a Christmas.
